Sledding, Smiles, and Snow

We decided to take advantage of the recent snow and go sledding at the school up the street from us. Jonathan is a pro at sledding by now, but this was Johanna's first attempt. We all had a great time.

We took turns going down the hill solo and riding with one another.

Christmas 2008

I can sum up Christmas 2008 in two words: We survived! (but I guess I won't) We opened presents in Lincoln with the kids on Tuesday night. (Santa arrived early just for us the next morning). We left Lincoln on Dec. 23rd to travel to Kansas and opened presents with the Walsh's that night, we woke up the next morning and we were off to Oklahoma to have Christmas in Mazie on Christmas Eve and then to Pryor on Christmas day. We left Oklahoma on Friday and headed back to Kansas. Saturday we enjoyed Christmas festivities at Uncle Paul & Aunt Bev's and Dusty and I slipped in a date in Lawrence that evening. On Sunday we celebrated with Mah, Pops, Stan, Jenn & Cousin Jake. And last but not least on Sunday night we headed over to Aunt Judy's house for a Christmas celebration with the Powell side of the family. We were blessed to have had the opportunity to see so many family members and without any huge bumps in the road. We got back to Lincoln on December 30th. We were exhausted but it was worth it.
