Mommy is Soooooo Pretty

(Author's note: I was originally going to title this post "Check Out My Hot Wife" but I figured that might attract the wrong audience. Dudes who Google "Check out my hot wife" aren't looking for a bunch of pictures of our kids.)

Mommy has a new look and it is working. (This picture doesn't quite do it justice. Annie Leibovitz I am not.) Jman has begun greeting her with a "Hey, Beautiful!" every evening when she walks in the door. This had been my line, but it's way cuter when he says it.

I realize that Mommy is not supposed to be the main focus of the blog. For those of you looking for cute baby pictures, here's a good one. Be sure and read the marker board in the background.

Wedding Weekend in KS

We could not resist posting this image of Uncle Al and Aunt Bev gettin' down at Chad and Meredith's wedding last weekend. Al certainly has the moves. We had a fun time at the wedding and the kids had a fun time at Pa Pa and Grandma Wally's house.

Since we were all dressed up we took the opportunity to take some family pictures. You'll have to imagine Jonathan and Johanna in the second picture.

Congratulations to Chad and Meredith. We wish you many years of happiness!

Family Fun in the Sun

We took advantage of the nice weather this past weekend and went to Wilderness Park to do some hiking. There was a nice picnic area where we had lunch before we went exploring on the walking path along a creek. Dusty, Jonathan and Johanna had already discovered Wilderness Park a week earlier, so it was an opportunity for them to show me the trails. Jonathan led the way and reminded us several times of how slow we were going.

I carried Johanna around in her awesome "wear your baby" sling thing. She loved being able to look around and I loved that it was a great way to carry her along the trail.

The animal count by the end of the day was-two ducks, two snakes, and a creepy spider. We also discovered a neat old bridge along the trail. It was a great way to get outside in the fresh air and have some fun together.

ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!

Even though we live in Nebraska (land of the Huskers) we're making sure our kids are Jayhawk fans. They finally have some KU gear and they were stylin' last Saturday and Monday for the final tournament games. I think you'll agree, they look good in crimson and blue. We're so happy KU won the 2008 NCAA National Championship. Roccckkk Chaaaallkkk Jaaaayyhawwwk KKKKUUU.
Dusty told Jonathan Tuesday morning that the Jayhawks won the National Championship, so they were national champions. Jonathan proudly and excitedly repeated in his own words, "The Jayhawks are national chips."

Future Jayhawks perhaps?????
